Content policy
What runs on our screens
Last updated October 17, 2026
Our screens hang in places where neighbors, families and children wait. Every ad has to be right for that room. These rules apply to every ad, on top of the full advertiser terms.
Every ad
- Honest, clear and legal. Offers must be real and available as shown.
- Suitable for a general audience, including children.
- One message, readable in a glance, with no sound.
- No political or issue advocacy ads during our first year.
- No ads that attack or name a competitor.
- The advertiser approves the exact final ad, in writing, before it runs.
Categories with extra rules
- Alcohol: Virginia ABC advertising rules apply. Lead with food, events and atmosphere; no drink-price specials.
- Legal services: Virginia State Bar advertising rules apply, including any required disclaimers.
- Banks and credit unions: required FDIC or NCUA lines and any APR or APY disclosures.
- Health and wellness: no outcome claims we can't support, no weight-loss claims, no patient testimonials.
- Farm products: describe products in the way Virginia law allows them to be sold.
Venue approval
Each venue partner decides what plays on its own screens:
- Venues block categories (for example alcohol, law firms or their own competitors) when they sign up.
- Each new ad goes to each venue in its zones to approve or decline. Silence for 48 hours (24 hours for event ads) counts as approval.
- A venue can pull an ad from its own screens at any time; it comes off within 24 hours.
- If venues holding more than a quarter of a zone's screens decline an ad, the advertiser can move that slot to another zone or receive a pro-rated credit.
Our right to decline
We may decline or remove any ad that doesn't meet this policy or that we believe isn't right for our venues. Questions: [email protected].
